I increasingly feel the route to simplifying health insurance and medical care in the US is to bypass the existing legacy players entirely. Closest example I can think of that already exists - concierge healthcare services. But maybe that is only possible because it's a small scale boutique service. Can it be scaled up and survive? I'm not entirely sure.
