  They run "malicious" nodes, to capture IPs and timestamps, and possibly correlate that with transaction data from exchanges.     “possibly correlate that with transaction data from exchanges” So it gives them an IP that might be associated with a transaction … Monero is still by far the best we’ve got for privacy
