- anxrn 14y agoAlso, for anyone interested in an academic, objective, inclusive and yet thoroughly fascinating summary of Indian history, I highly recommend "India: A History" by John Keay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Keay http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Keay)
- coastside_geek 14y agoI've found her writings to be very nuanced and rational. However she seems to be classified as a "Marxist historian" by the Indian media. I have no idea what that means. Her book and articles on Somnath are very interesting.
