- fuzztester 2y agolevenez unix history page / chart is also interesting.
- fracus 2y agoWhy PDF? Just why?
- jcranmer 2y agoBecause PDF is a decent format for archiving paginated output formats, and a clear intention of this project is to let people print out the entire timeline and stick it up on the wall somewhere?
- Waterluvian 2y agoI would love to have something like this on my wall that has seen a designer’s touch. The information tells a story, but it could certainly be art. The end of the graph has a lot of straight lines. I’m not sure this is accurate as much as it’s just missing linkages. Or perhaps they just haven’t become sufficiently clear through the lens of history.
- purple-leafy 2y agoMissing Golang, Rust
- brudgers 2y agoBecause it was posted to HN in 2008, I think it is older than 2022. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=130823 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=130823
- archargelod 2y agoI've put 2022 as date, because it's the last time the pdf was updated.
