Ask HN: In the Apple event, why did the speakers use similar hand movements?
Did you start fixating on their hand movements after you noticed this?
- eimrine 2y agoDescribe them for those who didn't watch
- amichail 2y agoSee: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uarNiSl_uh4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uarNiSl_uh4
- leed25d 2y agoSo, you responded to a request for a description with an hour-and-a-half-long video? Dude, do you have some kind of TLDR? Or are you a shill for Apple?
- amichail 2y agoYou don't have to watch the whole video. Just skip to parts of the video where you see someone talking.
- dschiffner 2y agoscrubbing a video is not difficult.
- cloudking 2y agoProbably because the whole thing was scripted and they were trained to do that?
- willcate 2y agoIt's just the way public speakers have been taught to speak here in the 21st century.
- amichail 2y agoBut after you notice this, you might start fixating on the hand movements and missing out on what they are saying.
- RGamma 2y agoThey're all the same make of corpo drone with different skins.
- gibbitz 2y agoThey don't have points of articulation above the elbow and their hands can't raise above their biceps. It's a design decision.
