The <table> element has so many arbitrary restrictions (that I'm sure have their legacy/accessibility reasons) that it's honestly not usable in a fully featured table component. For simple tabular data display, sure. But for anything beyond that, just use divs.
- throwaway14356 2y agonot being able to wrap the <tr> in <a> isn't useful or protecting anything. It should just be fixed. I see no issues with having a href attribte on <tr><th> and <td> and nesting such links doesn't make it confusing what should happen.
