New RAMBO attack steals data using RAM in air-gapped computers
- johnklos 2y ago> cannot be flagged or stopped You know, these things are sometimes not much more than theoretical ideas meant to alert us to the possibilities of what someone with time and resources can accomplish. They're important whether they're ever successfully used or not. However, using hyperbole just makes me wonder how much else in the article is imaginary or exaggerated. It causes a complete loss of credibility for me. Of course it can be flagged, and of course it can be stopped, but making that statement after writing "a process that isn't actively monitored by security products" is disingenuous. If security products, or, better yet, the OS monitors use of the RAM bus looking for signaling like this, then it can be flagged, stopped or killed.
