I tried it with my personal site (https://matthew.science https://matthew.science) and it didn't find any, which admittedly doesn't have any meta tags, but it is linked at the footer at https://matthew.science/atom.xml https://matthew.science/atom.xml. It was the default feed URL for my SSG. I'd recommend adding this to the common suffix list.
