Which ones specifically?
- jasonlotito 2y agoEasier to ask which ones do not. Intent is all over the place in law. Seriously, I'm normally one for supporting providing citation, but just look up criminal intent, or intent in law, especially in the context of the US. The most well known intent based law is manslaughter. You killed someone but didn't intend to, as opposed to murder, where you did intend to. But intent is all over law. It's similar to motive in that both are dependent on what the person is thinking. Intent being why they are buying the knife (to cut a steak), and motive being why they are using the knife (they are hungry).
