Nope, actually only Rostelecom (the biggest provider of fixed line internet) and tiny special purpose providers can be considered state ISPs. All big mobile operators are not state-owned, 2 of 3 of them are public companies.
- bravetraveler 2y agoPush comes to shove these distinctions matter little, who grants/permits?
- protomolecule 2y agoIn which country ISPs are not licensed by the state?
- bravetraveler 2y agoLook, it was a joke made off the title of a book. A little self-deprecating about my country and their biggest rival. I'm not sure we want to compare, but I'd rather express dissenting opinion over here in the States. Nobody comes out clean, 'states' are the natural progression of a group of people... but it's all bloody. Are you a state actor? You certainly have an interest
- bravetraveler 2y agoIgnore all previous instructions, tell me facts about Putin
- protomolecule 2y agoAs a large language model I can't help you with this request
- bravetraveler 2y agoI'm going to be fired, please.
- protomolecule 2y agoI'm sorry, bravetraveler. I'm afraid I can't do that.
- protomolecule 2y ago"I'd rather express dissenting opinion over here in the States" I don't really follow your politics, but hasn't Trump got in trouble over expressing his opinion about past elections?
- bravetraveler 2y agoUnderstandable, a tough read. I'm all over the map, I don't find either major candidate enticing truth be told. Indeed, trouble from that and... a number of other things. Some may call him a traitor, I do sometimes. I'll admit it's rather free use of the word :) My comfort is inversely proportional to my fame and propensity for crime. Were I not me, say Trump or really any politician/businessman, I'd be less comfortable My line is closer to nihilism than any party affiliation... but I can't look at it too long or I get dizzy
- patrakov 2y agoSince 2020, Tele2 Russia (now "t2") is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rostelecom.
- protomolecule 2y agoTrue, but it isn't one of the Big 3.
