Thanks for the axiom! This is the first I've heard of the axiom, and just on the face and from experience on the Internet, etc., the axiom is plausable. Maybe the axiom applies to Google. E.g., Google is a public company and is supposed to do well for shareholder value, and that may give some chance for the axiom. For my work: I (1) believe the work does well on a need so far being poorly met or not met at all, (2) like Google and use it a lot, but it doesn't meet the need, (3) am not in competition with Google, (4) don't think the axiom applies significantly to the work.
