So I went for an eye exam yesterday and to my surprise there were no local eye doctors on site. The owner called herself a “tech” and physically conducted the eye exam but was the liaison to the “actual” doctor who was remote zoomed in and took over for much of the latter portion eg, reading the letters and which is better a b c and which line is darker left right top bottom etc. It was pretty darn cool actually and the remote docs were extremely competent and I was happy with the whole process, which was pretty seamless and well planned and orchestrated. They have the whole thing down really nicely.
