New Argentine Currency Launched to Offset Milei's Shock Therapy
- gus_massa 2y agoNote that it's a local money from one province, not a new national money. We tried it before in the 1990s. After a few months, you can't use it to buy gasoline or meat or another products that are made outside the province, or you get a 20%-30% haircut in spite the local government claim it's ilegal. Also the 17% interest to December (50% annualized) is probably low, perhaps not extremely low, but it's difficult to guess.
