- ChoGGi 2y agoNo idea who this guy is, but it seems there's some controversy surrounding him. https://www.reddit.com/r/Physics/comments/sd6t0a/debunking_the_pseudophysics_papers_and_discussing/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Physics/comments/sd6t0a/debunking_t...

- rawling 2y agoAlso, the state now seems to be "RationalWiki Has Settled".
- rpdillon 2y agoTook me a while to track it down, but I found the paragraph that mentions the settlement: > The final choice has been made. We're settling. The reason is, simply put, that the situation in New Mexico concerning legal costs and such simply sucks too much. We would have probably ended up spending the whole $10K on the early dismissal stages. If it drags out, and even worse goes to hearings, the cost would be more like $50K according to Trent, with no chance of getting that back even if we won. It simply doesn't seem worth it, the board has agreed. Sorry, that's how it ended up. We'll end the current fundraiser today. This sets a really poor precedent.
- jbaber 2y agoI think the "I don't have 5x dollars to defend myself, but they'll settle for x" precedent was set long ago.
- RIMR 2y agoFake science guy sues Wikipedia for jerks.
- efilife 2y agoI read 2 articles on RationalWiki, both of which were extremely biased, clearly taking sides
