Fundamentally they fit well in their current world and aren't envisioning social or technical shifts that will completely change the world as they know it. This is most apparent in the telephone and international fax part, where they see the future of networking through telephone, and not some other technology making it obsolete. We'd have had a different prediction asking AM amateurs how they see the world of telephone communication in 50~100 years (might not have been correct either, but would have been different)
