- Muromec 2y agoUkraine still has soviet-era law criminalizing possession, distribution and production of porn. It's only enforced against local producers, but it's a thing.

- inferiorhuman 2y agoPornography was broadly illegal in the UK through the 1980s. It's still illegal in the Vatican, which is about as far from an "Islamist" country as you can get.
- seungwoolee518 2y agoSo, they're not blocking only porn. They're blocking a wide range of sites with various reasons - for example: selling illegal drugs (including mental, abortion drugs), copyrighted sites (torrent, etc), praise about north korea, etc... When they've started to terminate TLS, the reason was to terminate illegally shared webtoon (web cartoon) sites.
