My city has a designated group of people focused on ecological restoration of all sorts of public spaces. They’re called the “Parks Service” which doesn’t fully entail their role, but they’re all very experienced and educated regarding local native ecology. I was surprised we have this, so you might as well. I only discovered it because I volunteer to help restore public spaces and had the good fortune of meeting the city’s team on one occasion. They’re awesome. I wish I’d known sooner. It’s an incredible resource to have.
