Does "remits" mean reduces here, along the lines of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remittitur https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remittitur? It was an unfamiliar term to me and I'm not sure I've found the right meaning.
- wahern 2y agoIt means to refrain from exacting, which is one of the Merriam-Webster dictionary definitions.
