“The double edged razor has become a product that you can only buy on the internet, and which you will only buy if you know that it exists.” The first seems like a non-problem - I already buy everything but groceries on the Internet. The second is a publicity issue, if safety razor companies really wanted to, they could advertise the shit out of their products and “cheaper and generates less waste” is going to be a huge selling point tbh. I only use a disposable razor when travelling (hard to get razor blades through airports security!) and at home I alternate between safety razor and electric razor depending on how much time I have. My first electric razor lasted 20 years, so that’s also a much better investment than tons of stupid expensive Gillette razors/cartridges.
