For small residential, it's probably hard to compete with the capital cost of just running the AC in the afternoon (no additional cost).
If the house has any insulation at all the heat gain once the sun isn't participating won't be too bad.
- jmpman 2y agoIn Phoenix, it’s regularly over 100f until past midnight. I expect my AC is running 24x7, but maybe with just a lower duty cycle at night.
