- 3cats-in-a-coat 2y agoIt could though. Every rule has exceptions, doesn't it.
- jrflowers 2y agoCourt orders do not spread across borders like in a game of Plague Inc. If by “spread” you mean “could some guy crawl out of a k-hole and declare apotheosis that elevates him above the courts and laws of another government that he doesn’t like“ then sure. Concerning oneself with that theoretical would be like watching someone take a shit on the ground and then speculating about if that turd will spread though.
- AnimalMuppet 2y ago> Court orders do not spread across borders like in a game of Plague Inc. No, but... judges sometimes look at how a different nation handled a similar case if there is not adequate precedent within their own nation. So in that way court orders can "spread" between nations.
- jrflowers 2y agoCan you give an example of that happening in a way that could be interpreted as a court ruling spreading from one sovereign nation to another?
- pestatije 2y agocan elon expect to be arrested i he puts his feet in Brazil? (ala Pavel Durov)
- Zigurd 2y agoIANABL, but that judge seems pissed off. Were he in Brazil, I'd think he would be in jail a few steps ago in this process.
- 3cats-in-a-coat 2y agoI feel if Musk sets a foot in Brazil, he won't have a foot two seconds later.
