This is my reply to the parent, hereme888, which I think is important to communicate:
A lazy and insufficient take of this situation. When leaders of a political party have connections to neo-nazi groups (remember this is Germany, not the USA), and have been convicted by the courts of using Nazi symbolism during rallies[1] - you'd be a fool not to raise an eyebrow just because the political pendulum is swinging back against the wokists.
It’s important to read between the lines on both sides of politics. When the AfD calls for mass deportations of migrants (“Remigration”), you need to understand that these people are saying and why they are saying it.
> So protecting Germans against being replaced by another race and culture is called extremism?
Demographics around the world are always changing. My partner is German, and it’s not up to your racial ideals (or the AfD’s policies) that only white people breed with white people, because that really is the message behind the “Great Replacement Theory” (to which Björn Höcke is a proponent) which is just another conspiratorial way of spouting white-supremacy.
If you wanted to talk about protecting a culture, and not race, then I would agree with you. Migration should always be controlled and be heavily balanced with cultural integration, to maintain cultural cohesion.
