Show HN: Bjjgym – A Site to Help Travelers Find the Best BJJ Gyms
- bsampera 2y agoOver the past weeks I've created bjjgym.com, a site oriented at bjj practicioners around the world, to help find gyms while on the road. The Problem: As a traveler I've faced sometimes a hard time finding gyms that welcome drop-ins, offer nogi classes (no need to pack a gi) and are chill and welcome friendly. In the past, I used Google Maps and checked each gym site, but it's a pain in the ass and reviews lack key details. The solution: A website where users can search and rate gyms based on tags like: Currently, the following criteria are being considered: - Drop-in choices (and fees?) - Nogi or gi classes - Warm vibe - Cleanliness (to be clear of staph, ringworm...) - Gym's skill range - Open mat times - Women's classes So far, I've launched a search tool that sorts by big cities (New York, Austin, Madrid...). Would love to hear some feedback for it :)
