I've been trying Hurl as a replacement of restclient.el and verb.el for a while, so maybe I could recommend to my team. It seems to have potential, but it still not as convenient as the other modes since I did not integrate it into my editor yet, even though hurl-mode.el exists, it's not compatible with the Emacs version I use. I wish a plain text format like this was a standard for HTTP requests, and the tools would be developed around it, maybe this will be the one.
