My Tesla has been broken into multiple times in the Bay Area, with footage of the perpetrators and their license plate numbers, and the police have refused to investigate and were often unwilling to even accept the footage. And this isn't just me: literally everyone I know with a Tesla in the Bay Area has had a similar experience. The cops do not care, at all. Towing someone's car on the off chance it had video surveillance of a crime the police bother working on is insane overreach when they won't even investigate crimes to that owner's car in the first place.
