The Constitution was written by wealthy white men. Is it any surprise that it's design was to protect the minority interests of the very men who wrote it? And to this very day the Constitution still provides those wealthy white men with the means to use their wealth to control the levers of power. Money equals political power in America - and almost certainly everywhere on earth. Those of us who do not belong to the top 0.5% are left to argue over the inconsequential changes in government. We have nothing to say about changing the power structure itself.
