Do we even know what 'it' is? What does anyone mean when they say 'AI'? A lot of problems start from everyone using the same word but meaning different dreamed up magic.
- atoav 2y agoAs I said when the recent AI craze started: In the end everybody wishes AI was just a magic wand that you wave at things and it somehow telepathically figures out what you wanted and then deliveres a better result than all well researched and tested methods before. I said that because this was how I thought about certain technologies myself when I was young and naive. Every technology has it's limitations and applications where it absolutely shines. Us wishing that a piece of technology didn't had those limitations doesn't make it so. In fact given a wrong enough use case no amount of money will make a cetain technology work.
