Recently windows has become much better for things a linux or macOS user takes for granted, like using ssh (a quick google search tells you how to install it using powershell), but is missing a lot of features. Two recent examples for me are taking 5 minutes to figure out how to install and use rsync, and taking 10 minutes finding a program to add/delete pages from a pdf file that's not a trial or demo of some kind.
- eru 2y agoSSH clients have been easy on Windows for at least 20 years: just use Putty. And there's also at least on Chrome extension that works as an SSH client. But you are right, that Windows doesn't come (or didn't come?) with one out-of-the-box. In any case, I can see that those addition things like rsync or PDF manipulation might differ between the different operating systems. I was really just talking about browser plus ssh (client).
