It's like saying you're ready to live out your life alone because flirting, dating and finding a good match is difficult. If we let hard times and self defeating doubts keep us from who we are, humanity is doomed and we might as well all blog about it. If you've got the stuff keep up the struggle! Btw, I quit my job and traveled the world for a year and it took me a whole year after that to become stable again. I ended up finding contracting opportunities which forever liberated my lifestyle.
