Top Chinese general tells US to stop colluding with Taiwan
- more_corn 2y agoNot only is the US working with Taiwan, any Chinese invasion of Taiwan will trigger a forceful response.
- krapp 2y agoChina knows based on the US' response (or lack thereof) to Russia's invasion of Ukraine that the US won't move against a modern military (which Russia barely even qualifies as having.) The US was soundly defeated by cave-dwelling guerilla fighters at least twice. Getting their ass handed to them by one of the world's nascent superpowers would only be humiliating.
- avidiax 2y agoChina: Taiwan is part of China. Also China: Stop providing military aid to Taiwan. The US position should be: China, kindly tell yourself to stop accepting our military aid.
- commercialnix 2y agoEast Taiwan is best Taiwan. West Taiwan is getting out of control. Let's send more weapons to East Taiwan.
- AnimalMuppet 2y ago"Colluding". Yeah, right. That implies hidden, and the US is very out in the open about this. China has this "We declare that they belong to us, and saying or acting otherwise is illegal". Well, here in the US, we don't care what China says is legal or illegal with respect to Taiwan. Top Chinese general can get over himself.

- euroderf 2y agoNew slogan: "Taiwan is China too." It superficially satisfies the "One China" mantra, but it also asserts that democracy can be - and is - a characteristic of a Chinese society.
