- armitron 2y agoOnly "deli" meats I will eat are PDO Prosciutto di Parma imported from Italy and less frequently PDO acorn-fed Jamón ibérico imported from Spain. Pretty much everything else sold at US supermarkets is filled with nitrites, even when packaging insists that's not the case it's usually celery powder sleight of hand, and generally horrible for one's health.
- tecleandor 2y agoThis doesn't look good for Boar's Head. A kind of similar case happened here in Spain in 2019, also in a meat processing plant. 4 people died in that case. https://english.elpais.com/elpais/2019/08/23/inenglish/1566555905_085334.html https://english.elpais.com/elpais/2019/08/23/inenglish/15665...
- hooverd 2y ago> "Small flying gnat like insects were observed crawling on the walls and flying around the room. The rooms walls had heavy meat buildup," they wrote. That sounds like a horror movie.
