- crest 2y agoThe question is what prevents someone from coming up with a digital video interface standard just happens to be 100% compatible with HDMI just with a sufficiently different label on the ports similar to "TF flash" instead of "microSD"?
- meepmorp 2y agoBecause all this shit is covered by patents and licensing, and a cutesy defense like "it's totally not HDMI, bro," would make the judge refer your counsel to disciplinary action because of how fucking frivolous it is.
