Colloquially, it has meant that my entire life. As a fifth grader, I was an ass so I'm sure I told kids I was smarter than them because I did better on a test.

As I aged, "smart" became a nebulous concept.
- magicalhippo 2y agoGood point, hadn't thought about the point of view of a fifth-grader. I'm certain I too associated knowledge with being smart at that young age.
