- elicksaur 2y agoCommentors on any website aren’t a monolith. You’re making up some fictional person to be mad at.
- tedunangst 2y agoThat said, the presence or absence of these individuals in specific threads is curious. The "all forms of copyright are unethical" people are all over the Disney threads. Surely anyone with such a keen interest in copyright law and policy would wish to comment on this thread as well, the topics being so similar?
- latexr 2y agoFor crying out loud, this submission is an hour old. People have barely had time to even know it exists. Do you think people are just seething to have arguments and set up alarms to be woken up one the middle of the night whenever there’s a conversation involving copyright on HN?
- trueismywork 2y agoIt's not a contradiction. Copyleft is the ultimate Judo move. The stronger copyright is, the stronger copyleft is.
- latexr 2y ago> the same people Or may, just maybe, it’s different people and HN is not an amorphous hive mind where everyone thinks the same thing all the time. It boggles the mind how there’s always someone on HN complaining about HN’s hypocrisy. Clearly not everyone on this site shares opinions on everything, else you wouldn’t be making the criticism.
- ProAm 2y agoSame people dont mind using a paywall bypass either to read stuff they are interested in and not pay for.

- notfed 2y agoI consider the phrase "the same people" to be a slur. It's almost always implying stereotyping.
