Extremely difficult, but more likely than artificial meat, it isn't so much the life support system as the constant contamination and lack of immune system that kills in vitro neuron cultures.
It is much more efficient to use in vivo neurons since they come with an immune system attached and work just as well for leaning tasks.
- finalspark 2y agoI am not sure lack of immune system is our main concern so far at FinalSpark. I believe it has more to do with the side effects of physical contacts of neurons (and glial cells) with not fully biocompatible materials like the electrodes.
