Accounting Isn't Cool Anymore

- teqsun 2y agoThere was a time accounting was cool? I remember almost 2 decades ago during "take your kid to work day" when I was in grade 9 busting out a smartass teenager quip of "I never knew one job could be so confusing and boring at the same time" to my dad's boss when he asked me what I thought of the job at the end of the workday. It (thankfully) elicited much laughter in the office over the next few months for its apparent humor and/or truth. I guess I never realized there was a period in-between when Accounting was a desirable field. Sometimes I wonder if I'll see something similar to software engineering in my lifetime, but I remain steadfast that programming is neither as confusing nor boring as accounting.
