Country club membership is not a free speech issue. I thought this was an obvious enough example everyone could understand. But I guess the tech companies have polluted the definition and nobody remembers civics class.

Zuckerberg doing the white house's bidding in exchange for whatever perks Zuckerberg gets in return aren't a "country club". It isn't a private matter. It's absolutely a constitutional issue and a free speech issue.
- alexey-salmin 2y agoIf the government punishes you for what you say then of course it's a free speech issue, that's the whole point. It doesn't matter what exact punishment is applied: e.g expulsion from a country club or a fine.
