Show HN: Built a simple Hacker News client with Expo
Pretty easy to start building native apps with expo these days, especially with prior Web and React knowledge.
Did this over a few weekends while learning about Mobile development, their docs are a big help too.
- samstave 2y agoPut some screenshots/demo? A writeup on how you built it would be pleasantly welcomed - as I would like to know/see examples of how build in Expo. I havent built my own app yet - but I have a thing I am wanting to build with InstantDB - and I dont know all the things I want to build it in/with yet. Expo seems nifty.
- akamfoad 2y agoYeah maybe I wrote something up, you can checkout a demo here though: https://www.reddit.com/r/reactnative/s/O1aqpitFJw https://www.reddit.com/r/reactnative/s/O1aqpitFJw As for the how, if you know React, then just follow the get started on Expo docs website, there are some differences with web but its not hard to figure them out, just create a project and start, and yeah Expo is very nifty for the job, especially for starters.
