Sandhill cranes are omnivorous and have the nickname "ribeye of the sky." I've never tried myself as I no longer live in the US, but I've heard they are very good.
- cmrdporcupine 2y agoWow, they're beautiful birds I can't imagine shooting one. But... mmm... ribeye When I lived in Alberta we used to see huge flocks of them. I wonder if there's a way they could be domesticated for meat production. Probably not because migratory.
