Telegram is the main platform for far right agitators to communicate in my country. It starting getting popular in 2021 [1] and then became the place to organise "protests" where they attack immigrant centers and the police in both Ireland and the UK [2]. If Russia was enabling a platform that helped fracture and destabilise Western countries, Telegram would be it.

- scarab92 2y agoYour argument reeks of partisan bias. Left wing protests also turn violent, and there’s no pressure from the right to punish whatever communication platforms left wing protestors use. A good faith argument would acknowledge that all platforms will be used for good and evil, and focus on the actions of its operators rather than its user base.
