- nerdjon 2y agoThat is just so lovingly on brand for every UI transition Microsoft has attempted to do with Windows since Vista. I get it, this is a lot of work and there are a lot of things that need to change. But having 2 places for system settings is wild.
- katbyte 2y agoLast Dec while setting up a gaming vm I needed to configure some power setting - I ended up 3 generations of control panels/ui styles deep to configure it. I have a screen shot somewhere as I found it hilarious
- gjvc 2y agoAs a company, they seem to have lost their way with Windows as a usable desktop operating system on every desk and in every home. I'm sure there are still great programmers working on it, but outwardly, the appearance is awful.
- pjmlp 2y ago"Azure Timesharing OS" now gets all the goodies, also apparently they getting many new people versed on the ways of Windows, seeing how the whole WinRT mess went down, and is still ongoing.
- jessekv 2y agoIf you have to use Windows and want maximum configuration, try Microsoft PowerToys.
- papichulo2023 2y agoMan that was fast, I thought it wa going to take them 5 years to re introduce it.
