This was already possible with `pipx run`, I love having deps inline for simple scripts.
I don't see examples of using this with a shebang script, though I suspect it's possible.
- hi-v-rocknroll 2y agoThat appears to be far more awkward because it doesn't document the declaration and inclusion of specs in the script itself and doesn't manage temporary environments. And, so uv run looks superior in this use case. pipx is great for CLI tool management.
- lambdaba 2y agoI'm not sure I follow, here's an example `pipx run` script: #!/usr/bin/env -S pipx run # /// script # dependencies = [ # "click==8.*", # "Jinja2==3.*", # "tomli==2.*", # ] # requires-python = ">=3.8" # /// And it does manage temporary environments.
