I mean, there’s two things that one might learn about. One is reading a specification for what a v2 uuid is. The other is learning information about the circumstances of a UUID’s generation from the uuid. Obviously the sentence was about the latter, as could be determined from the context as the other versions are described as being generated from specific things. I agree the sentence is a bit unclear, but I don’t think it’s misleading or whatever.
