Happens to me all the time. The company I work for has 1300 employees, and what I do means going cross-team pretty often, talking to people that I might have met once or twice a year ago. I speak to customer teams that pack consultants I might have worked with 10 years ago. Generally speaking, I'm bad at remembering names. I'd buy a discreet "remind me who this is" device in a heartbeat.
