I was just thinking a couple of weeks ago how the new settings app is basically a bunch of text. Personally, I find it hard to navigate compared to colorful, differentiated icons. The whole point of icons - to encapsulate meaning efficiently - seems to have disappeared from modern UI. Flat lists of text are fundamentally what we had in the early 90s before advanced CUIs and GUIs took over.
