Show HN: I made a tiny widget that facilitates frictionless user feedback
Hey HN,
I plan on launching several things these coming months, but all of them need some way of gathering and organising user feedback.
As an end user, I don’t want to login or click away from a page when reporting a bug or whatnot, unless I specifically choose to do so.
And as a dev, I have a specific - almost rigid - list of needs in this regard: an embeddable widget, @project pages, SO-esque comment/vote system, mail-like inbox for user submissions, widget URL whitelist/blocklist, user leaderboards for marketing, noti emails every 24h…
I’m launching Buggy.so as a one-size-fits-all answer to the needs of my users and myself. Needless to say I’ll be using it in those “several things these coming months”.
Thanks for your time.
- jotaen 2y agoI think it’s cool how the process of submitting feedback is quite straightforward and low-friction! One question: is the layout of the widget customisable? I.e., mainly the font and colours? Because while the “splashy” comic-style makes for a refreshing change on the one hand, I could imagine it might not be appropriate in all contexts. The same is true, by the way, for the entire landing page and the docs. It looks fun and distinct, but I also had some slight troubles to parse the structure and find my way around.
- lefrost 2y agoThanks. Currently the widget's customisability includes its palette/theme, but not its font. Something to consider, I appreciate the feedback.
