I don’t know why they bother with such functionality. It’s clearly not the tool of the trade for such types of diagrams. What is IMO much more relevant is the ability to create concept maps. Mind map always has a central theme but that is not necessarily the case with concept map. So if you create children nodes in mind map, they will automatically take a smaller sizes, denotes a hierarchy, which may not the case at all. Xmind has a beautiful UI, but they still lack the ability to define defaults for connectors and other things. And the 200 MB electron behemoth does not encourage me to buy it, either.
