I'm so happy they mention "chip shop curry sauce". My current favourite katsu place is Kokoro in Liverpool. Always hits the spot.

  Chinese take away chips and curry sauce. Chips come in a brown paper bag, curry sauce used to come in a polystyrene cup.

  Not to diminish your comment about Kokoro, but it is a chain of over 50 locations unless the Liverpool location has anything unique about it. However it is most excellent.

    It's my local, so that makes it unique. It does have a quieter vibe than some of the other branches I've been in. YMMV
