More than 8 in 10 recruiters say they post 'Ghost jobs'

- keernan 2y agoThat's fu. This type of behavior demonstrates why capitalism unrestrained is pure evil. Employers view employees as mannequins. A number of years ago, a former employer of mine expanded a mid-west claim center and hired several hundred new employees, the majority of whom pulled up roots and moved their families from NYC, TX, and CA offices that had been closed. Then 6 months later 75% of the new hires were laid off because 'corporate conditions changed'. Zero compensation to those who had uprooted their families. Fortunately this didn't impact me directly, although it did sour my view of the corporate world.
- formerlurker 2y agoApple did the same at an SPG (special projects group) and it too changed my view about corporations. People uprooted for those jobs only to have the rug pulled from under them.

- Simulacra 2y agoIt should be illegal to post jobs you are not actively hiring for. It's flat out fraud, wasting applicants time and money.
