Excellent example. In general, people's "revealed preferences" often contradict their stated preferences.
- uoaei 2y agoYour "preferences" exist only in the context of the set of choices before you. Hence, Nash equilibria, etc. I don't think you can extrapolate very far morally in "golden handcuffs" situations. Or, at least, we should "hate the player not the game" when lamenting such outcomes.
